We lost pace with the field against Cegléd in the seventh round of the second division league. Therefore we could not manage to keep up behind the leading group. Instead, we let those teams in positions behind us to close up.

The field becomes thicker week after week. Current results show that no team can be certain against any of the opponents. This weekend e.g. Mezőkövesd playing in fisrt division last spring was surprisingly beaten by Szeged in their Gyula rental playing in Third division in the last season – they only promoted as the best second position team of NB III. Sopron after their poor start of the season got in depression at Soroksár’s home, while Gyirmót as one of the candidates to promote to fisrt div. could not cope with Szigetszentmiklós. A piece of curiosity was ZTE’s fixture at Lake Balaton sincere referee Szilasi gave five(!) penalties during the ninety mins. Szolnok beat field Vasas of first position, so top leaders of the league had a bad day after all.
Results: Siófok-ZTE 2-2, Békéscsaba-Balmazújváros 4-2, Kaposvár-Ajka 2-0, Soroksár-Sopron 2-3, Szeged-Mezőkövesd 2-1, SZTK-Gyirmót 0-0, Szolnoki MÁV-Vasas 3-2.
